This marks a big milestone- a third of the year has already passed.
Things we've been doing for 4 months-
- Exclusively nursing
- Changing diapers
- Washing cloth diapers & wipes
- Not sleeping through the night (well, sleeping less than what we had before she arrived)
- Not going out on dates much
- Avoiding many family trips to the grocery store so we don't have to deal with baby yet
- Talking about diaper contents and cloth diapers to more people than we should, in more detail than we should
- Tackling being social and learning the ways of parenthood simultaneously
- Balancing two commuter lifestyles with daycare and baby needs
- Trying to remember to eat
- Making it out the door in the morning with my work bag, pumping bag (and all of it's subsequent supplies) and her diaper bag, full of freshly washed, fluffed and stuffed diapers, cloth wipes and milk bottles for the day.
It. Has. Been. Crazy.
But I wouldn't want to change a second of it. From nursing tears to first baby giggles. From Mom having nothing to wear that fits to trying to choose one of the many adorable gifted outfits in the morning for baby.
Lots of fun to come as she rolls more, adds consonants to her vocabulary and brings teeth into the mix!
Thanks to friends and family for all the support and encouragement. I can't put into words what your notes, comments, cards, and advice have done to ease my mind and heart.
